01Overview

This policy explains how Pepared Research, LLC ("Pepared," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website, place an order (with or without an account), create an optional account, or contact us.

By using our site and services, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details, such as your name, email, phone number, and shipping address.
• Guest order details: your email and shipping details (recipient name, address, and phone number if you add one), plus your research-use acknowledgments. No account is required to order.
• Your email when you add an item to your cart without signing in. We attach it to your checkout and order.
• Account details, only if you choose to create an account, such as your email, password (stored only as a secure hash), institution (if you add one), saved addresses, and research-use acknowledgments.
• Order details, such as the items you buy, billing and shipping addresses, and payment confirmation.
• Anything you include when you contact us for support.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, we and our providers may collect device and browser information, your IP address, and how you use the site, such as pages and products you view or add to your cart.

Some features need this information. You can choose not to provide it, but those features may not work.

03How we use it

• To process payments, fulfill and ship orders, and send order and account emails, including tracking when your order ships.
• For guest orders, we use your email and shipping details only to fulfill your order, send your invoice and tracking updates, send cart reminders as described below, and help with questions about that order.
• To maintain your account, if you have one, and provide customer support.
• If you start checkout but don't finish, to send up to two reminder emails about your cart. Every reminder includes a one-click link to stop them. We don't use your email for marketing unless you opt in from your account.
• To credit a referral partner when you arrive through their link.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the site secure, and meet legal obligations.

04Payments

Payments are handled by our secure payment processor on its own secure checkout page. You enter your card number directly with the processor, and we don't receive or store your full card number.

The processor shares limited details with us, such as your billing name and address and your card brand and last four digits, which we use for your order records and receipt.

05Who we share information with

We work with a small number of trusted service providers who help us run the store, such as website hosting, secure payment processing, order and account storage, email delivery, customer support, advertising measurement, and shipping. They receive only the information they need to provide their services.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or our customers, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger.

We never sell your personal information.

06Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage to make the site work, including to remember:

• Your age and research-use confirmation, so you aren't asked on every visit.
• The items in your cart.
• The email you give before adding to your cart, for the current browser session only.
• A secure sign-in cookie, if you sign in to an account.
• A referral code, if you arrive through a partner link.
• Whether you've dismissed a site offer.

Third-party services, such as our live chat and advertising tools, may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features, such as sign-in and your cart, may not work properly.

07Data retention

How long we keep personal information depends on whether we need it to maintain your account, provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

For guest orders, we keep your email, shipping details, and order record only as long as we need them to fulfill, invoice, and support the order and to meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements.

08Security

We take steps to protect your information, such as storing passwords only in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Please keep your sign-in details private, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

09Your choices & requests

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights, subject to legal limits:

• To access or know the personal information we hold about you.
• To delete personal information we maintain about you.
• To correct inaccurate personal information.
• To receive a portable copy, in certain circumstances.
• To restrict processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision on your request.

To make a request, contact us. We may need to verify your identity first. You can use an authorized agent, and we'll ask for proof of authorization. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10Age requirement

Our site and products are for adults 21 and older, and the site is not directed to minors. Access requires confirming that you're at least 21.

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us to request its deletion.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. When we do, we'll post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
